Interactive Murder Mystery Entertainment in Vancouver
Vancouver knows how to put on an event, but even a beautiful room and a great dinner can use a little trouble. Smoking Gun Entertainment brings interactive murder mysteries and improv-based comedy directly to corporate events, Christmas parties, fundraisers and private celebrations throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
Our performers do not spend the night separated from your guests on a stage. The characters arrive as part of the event, mingle during cocktails and dinner, reveal grudges and secrets, and gradually give everyone reasons to suspect almost everybody in the room. When the murder happens, your guests become the detectives. They can question suspects, compare evidence and submit their theory before the final reveal. Participation is always optional, which makes the format easy for mixed corporate groups where some people want to jump right in and others are happiest watching the chaos unfold.
Smoking Gun has a long performance history throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. Past events have taken us to Coast Restaurant in Vancouver, Washington Avenue Grill in White Rock and the Quality Hotel & Conference Centre in Abbotsford. We have also performed corporate events in Maple Ridge and other communities outside the downtown core. That range matters in a market where the right venue may be across a bridge, in another municipality or well outside Vancouver proper.
Our shows work especially well for corporate holiday events and client nights because they create conversation without forcing a formal team-building exercise. Themes range from classic whodunits and Mafia mayhem to weddings, reunions, holiday stories and resort disasters. You provide the venue and meal; Smoking Gun brings the actors, mystery, clues and improvised comedy.
Where we perform around Vancouver
Smoking Gun performs throughout Vancouver and across the Lower Mainland. Events in Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, Delta and New Westminster can be handled within the same regional market, and we regularly consider bookings in the Tri-Cities, on the North Shore and throughout nearby communities.
Our reach also extends into the Fraser Valley. Langley, Maple Ridge and Abbotsford are natural extensions of the Vancouver market, while Chilliwack and Whistler may also be possible depending on the date, cast requirements and travel involved. Tell us where the event is being held and we will confirm the most practical cast and any travel costs before you book.

Vancouver murder mystery FAQs
Do you perform outside downtown Vancouver?
Yes. The Vancouver market covers the Lower Mainland and regularly extends into communities such as Surrey, Richmond, the Tri-Cities, the North Shore, Langley, Maple Ridge and Abbotsford.
Can the show work in a restaurant or hotel?
Absolutely. We have performed in restaurants, hotels and event venues throughout the region. We mainly need room for actors to circulate, a small private area for props/costumes and suitable sound support for larger groups.
Is a murder mystery good for a Vancouver corporate Christmas party?
It is one of our most popular uses. The mystery gives people from different tables and departments an easy reason to talk, laugh and work together without making the evening feel like a workshop.
Do guests have to act?
No. Guests can become as involved as they like. Some will interrogate every suspect; others will simply watch and enjoy the comedy.
Can you travel to Whistler or the Fraser Valley?
Often, yes. Availability and travel charges depend on the event date, cast size and exact location, so include the venue when requesting a quote.
