Saskatoon’s shows are led by producer Danova Dickson, an actor, improvisor, clown and producer based in the city. She is the founder of Two Bees Productions and won Best Local Production at the 2026 Saskatoon Fringe Festival.

Smoking Gun has performed at TCU Place for Buckberger Baerg & Partners LLP, at the Glen at Crossmount for Crossmount and North Prairie Developments, at Nutana Legion for Saskatchewan Air Ambulance and at Lucky Bastard Distillery for private wedding celebrations.
The troupe has also travelled well beyond the city. Smoking Gun has performed for the City of Martensville, for the Kindersley Staff Club at the Elks Hall in Kindersley, at Cabri Community Hall and at the Eston Legion Hall, among other Saskatchewan bookings. This is useful for clients whose staff or guests are spread across the province rather than concentrated in Saskatoon itself.
A Smoking Gun mystery does not ask everyone to become an actor. Our characters mingle with guests, create the story around cocktails and dinner and reveal enough clues and motives to launch the investigation. After the murder, guests can question suspects and work with their tables to decide whodunnit. The performers improvise heavily with the room, which is why the same script can feel completely different from one event to the next.
